Microcosmos is a world that you've never seen and is among us and around us and inside us. I'll never forget... there was an episode of That's Incredible, a TV show from the late '70's, that featured a dude who could fit inside a small box, spontaneous human combustion, among other cool topics, such as microorganisms that actually live on our skin and in our beds and pretty f*cking much everywhere. Well, this movie is not quite as micro as that, but it does put way more life and drama into insects that you would ever expect to be.
In fact, a friend of mine was visiting from out of town, and we happened to have been partying a little bit, and this film was in theaters for some reason, and let me tell you, totally dangerous. You'd think that a movie that's being billed as "fun for the whole family" and whatever-the-f*ck is a total no-brainer. But my buddy was up and puking in the bathroom by halfway through it. This movie is a complete trip. Kristin Scott Thomas is maybe narrating a little bit, but basically, there's just a bunch of music and superduper close-ups on these various insects, and you become part of their lives. Watch the movie trailer and read on because...
FilmBender is Funny Movie Reviews, and this sh*t will totally rock your world. There are other "epic" documentaries on the planet (Earth), and I don't want to belittle any of them at all. But when it comes to "little," this one is explosive and will move you and will never let you forget that you are part of a machine that is life that is relative and it doesn't matter how big you are and thank God you aren't "that big" because honey, you wouldn't last a f*cking minute you big p*ss.
