"Slumdog Millionaire" earns every penny

Movie_Slumdog Millionaire_Freida Pinto_Dev Patel

I can't help but stop thinking about Freida Pinto, Slumdog Millionaire's "precious" One Ring.  She is so, flawless.  I felt like I was desperately searching for her just like the mensch, Dev Patel.  And when the older brother scars her face, I felt rage and sorrow and disbelief that someone could bring themselves to taint her beauty.  Anyway, I think I'll get over it.

This film is awesome [I'm sure I'm not the first one to tell you] -- a mix of battle, chase, dream, corruption, torture, betrayal, survival, and most definitely, longing.  You'll have to be the judge on whether or not she's just looking for a sugar daddy and whether the game show host [Anil Kapoor] looks like Luis Guzmán.

FilmBender is Funny Movie Reviews.  Danny Boyle (Trainspotting) directed with just the right amount of camera trickery to help us remember that it's all just a movie because, let me tell you, what these kids have to go through, would crush a mortal man.  But, I mean, even though this kid was, at times, head deep in sh*t; he could certainly make sh*t happen.  Snaps his fingers, and he's on the most popular game show on the planet [Who Wants to be a Millionaire?].  You'll have to watch to find out if he's able to snap again for the big check and the babe.
