Scarlett Johansson is near perfect (looking, acting, whatever). Plays her free-thinking self who's looking for something in Vicky Cristina Barcelona. You'd think she'd find it. Everyone wants to help her (including yours truly).
And Penelope Cruise is a volatile pepper that becomes explosively sexy, dangerous and hilarious when she's fuming mad. Anyway, that near mute, chilling, machine-assisted killer with a page boy lid from No Country for Old Men, Javier Bardem, plays the third leg. But here, Javier is the deep-free-thinking artist who happens to pull-in two of my top five. This guy either kicks *ss at acting, or he's got some other voodoo sh*t goin' on, or maybe it's one big magnet.
Woody Allen makes it his typical type of funny, which I like. Cool architecture makes you want to visit Spain. If it weren't for the ending, I'd maybe even go there. I'd definitely give the movie a .30 if it didn't just stop. Javier's other mentioned movie just stops too... but for some reason, that worked for me. Here it was Scarlett.
FilmBender is Funny Movie Reviews, but for now, enjoy this trailer with a glass of red.
