I feel sorry for Al Pacino. This guy was the most talented, successful, powerful and daring movie star back in his day. I don't have to name the films. He was a star and everyone knows it and his work. Same thing goes for Robert De Niro. but at least Robert has picked some great roles over the past decade. When the two did Heat together, it was the beginning of the end for Al. And then Righteous Kill. Ugh.
Anyway, the last great film Pacino did was The Devil's Advocate. The irony is, the most notoriously bad actor in the world is Keanu Reeves (who's also in this thriller), but he's always picking awesome movies to be in, so he's still on the A-list. Meanwhile, Al must be too busy tryin' to pick the right hair color instead of the right script, so at this pace, he could soon be on the F-list.
Regardless, here the two are attorneys with Reeves being the new blood in Pacino's high-powered Manhattan law firm. Things begin to get a little fiendish, steamy and surreal when it becomes apparent to Keanu that Al's power may be from a source that's distant from both law and surfing. It gets wicked, bloody good.
Charlize Theron is the concerned wife of Keanu and is kinda hot but is totally upstaged by Al's smokin' hot harem. Hoohah!
